Asthma

Asthma is a common chronic inflammatory disease of the airways. Symptoms of asthma include wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, shortness of breath, reversible airflow obstruction, and bronchospasm.

The foundation of mesenchymal stem cell therapy lies in stimulation of the immune system. Even with severe bronchial asthma, stem cell therapy may contribute to the regeneration of lung tissue, which may lead to a reduction in the incidence of asthma attacks and their duration. Stem cell therapy in patients with asthma may increase resistance to colds and infectious diseases, which in turn may reduce the frequency and exacerbations of asthma.

Stem cell therapy may reduce the allergic response of the lungs to allergens, including house dust, animal dander, pollen, and foods. The mesenchymal stem cells are administered intravenously to replenish the stem cell supply that may be required to manage asthma symptoms.
